TO CHECK HOW MANY SIMs ARE REGISTERED ON MY AADHAR CARD
Most of us have mobile phones that have a dual SIM facility and we use multiple SIMs also for personal as well as professional needs. But the department of the Telecom Ministry has now limited the number of SIM cards a person can carry by a new law. All information related to our Aadhar card is very important so that it should not be misused. There are possible chances for our SIM cards to be misused by chances of theft or by lost somewhere. To overcome such problems, the Department of Telecommunication has launched a new portal through which the users can now check how many mobile numbers are issued on their Aadhar Card. For finding out this, our mobile numbers should be linked with Aadhar.
Through this new service of DoT (the Department of Telecommunication), we will be able to easily check now how many mobile numbers are registered with our Aadhar card. The portal is named Telecom Analytics for Fraud Management and Consumer Protection (TAFCOP), and it enables users to check all phone numbers linked to their Aadhar card. Hence on checking so, if you find that any number is linked to your Aadhar card which you are not using, you can disconnect it.
Steps to check the number of mobile numbers registered with your Aadhar card:
- Go to the website https://tafcop.dgtelecom.gov.in/.
- Enter your contact number in the space provided.
- Click on the ‘Request OTP’ tab.
- Once you receive the OTP number, enter it in the space.
- All the numbers linked to your Aadhar number will be displayed on the website then.
You can check through these numbers and from these numbers, the users can report and block numbers which they are not using or those you find as not yours.
